Our Mission

The Libertyville Junior Woman's Club works to provide service through charitable and philanthropic enterprises, intellectual development and promotion of good fellowship among its members.

Service

We are able to make the largest impact in our local communities through the volunteer work we do. The Libertyville Junior Woman’s Club partners with other organizations to provide them with the help they need. Some of the ways we volunteer throughout the year include delivering Meals on Wheels, collecting food pantry donation items, participating in a Tree of Need Christmas program, highway clean up, and providing weekly desserts for seniors.

Philanthropy

Sometimes what nonprofit organizations need most is our generosity. We proudly raise money for organizations that help women and children through fundraising events throughout the year. Our scholarship program is another way we allocate our funds to help improve the lives of others. In addition, we host a large biennial fundraiser to give our most supportive contribution to an organization of the Club’s choosing.

Community

Working in our own community has rewards that see no bounds. Throughout the year we organize fun programs for children in Cook Memorial Park. In the Fall, Pumpkin Fest is always a hit! We also help spread awareness during Fire Prevention Week in our local schools. In the Summer, we host the Children’s Party at Libertyville Days along with providing many volunteers for the weekend-long event.

Spring Disbursements

Spring Disbursements are a biennial club project in which the Juniors support local non-profit efforts by awarding monetary donations to select organizations. These community contributions are raised throughout a two year period through both small and large fundraisers. Spring Disbursement recipients and dollar amounts are selected through an application process and club vote.
