Examples of Committee Projects: Civic Center The Libertyville Junior Woman’s Club is one of three founding organizations of the Libertyville Civic Center. One of the important responsibilities of the Civic Center Committee is to coordinate participation of our membership in Libertyville Days festival. Home/Health The Home Health Committee has taken up a new project to benefit Warm Up America, and organization that collects and donates afghans to battered women’s shelters, hospitals, and other organizations whose clients would enjoy a warm, cozy blanket. Conservation The Conservation Committee adopted a stretch of highway in Libertyville and coordinates a clean up effort on a regular basis. Art and Education The Arts and Education Committee participates in many local projects promoting the arts such as the Cunio Art Fair, David Adler Cultural Center music competition, as well as collecting books for “Read Across America” project. Program The Program Committee coordinates the programs presented at the monthly meetings. Program themes cover a wide variety of themes and areas of interest such as Youth in the Arts, Cooking Demonstrations, Avoiding Identity Theft, Women's Heath Issues, How to Save Energy in Your Home, and many other topics of interest. Club Support/Project One of the main project of this committee is coordinating the delivery of “Meals on Wheels.” |
